With Uni.lu turning 20, we would like to introduce you to our alumni featured in the video series recorded by the University of Luxembourg over the summer. Each alum will tell you about their time at the University and what was the most exciting in his or her era. 

 

First in line, @Christophe Ley, Professor of Applied Statistics at the University of Luxembourg, who studied at the University of Luxembourg the very first year of its existence! 

 

What was your favorite class at Uni.lu? 

 

Mechanics by Prof. Nobert Poncin. 

 

The professor who you will never forget?

 

Martin Schlichenmaier. 

 

Best concert you went to when you were a student?

 

It was the one of Phil Collins and the concert was the day before the final university results were announced. 

 

What was special about your time at the University of Luxembourg?

 

I was in the first generation in years 2003-2004 and there was just 1 year of studies at the time to get a Master’s degree. 

 

Your campus?

 

Limpertsberg.
